... and since we are trashing some band director's decision who obviously did this at the aforementioned event, and since this is the public side of the forum, we now have several kids and parents reading this with tears in the eyes. Can we crush dreams in the directors forum maybe?

What event are you talking about? Also, there has been no mention of any specific band - as a matter of fact, MY last comment (I can't speak for anyone else in here) was made as a result of something I saw in 2003, not anytime recently.
