We had quite the surprise at the El Dorado football game tonight. Representatives from the Tournament of Roses were on hand to invite the El Dorado Golden Hawks Band and Colorguard to participate in the 2010 Rose Parade! The announcement came as the band was preparing to perform at halftime. Congratulations to director Richard Watson and to the members & teaching staff of the EDHS Band!

Congratulations El Dorado. I can tell you that Golden Valley is honored and looking forward to paricipating in the upcoming Rose Parade. The months of planning leading up to this event are half the fun. Enjoy the experience.

I know that the students are definetly excited about it! There was so much energy after the announcement (which can right before our half-time performance and was completely unexpected) that we had the most energetic show to date! I'm so happy for the Class of '10 and can't wait to come back to represent the Class of '09!

WOW!!!!!!!! I was too busy editing my offensive posts and missed this!
FANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNTASTIC JOB EL DO!!!!!!!
Congrats Corkie, Eric, Mr. W, and all the gang!!! FANTASTIC!!!
Now just remember this, as a 9-year vet of the parade. It's not about competition, it's not about playing it safe, it's about BEING LOUD AND FUN!!!!!!! Go out there and ENTERTAIN THE CROWDS!!!
And knowing El Do like I do...I think you all can get MIGHTY LOUD!!!
