Re: Results: Grape Bowl Classic Band Review (Lodi, CA) 11/1/08
Congratulations to Band director Greg Christiansen and the Cardinal Regime for their Sweepstakes wins today at Lodi. The band finished their 2008 fall marching season undefeated in Parade and Music Sweepstakes competition. The band remains undefeated in Parade and Music Sweepstakes over the last two marching seasons, beginning with the Foothill Band Review in November of 2006!
Also congratulations to GV Jazz A (97.65) for their great performance today and the Jazz B group for their third place finish behind GV Jazz A and Cesar Chavez Jazz A! Great job!!!
Congratulations to all the other jazz groups and marching bands competing today in Lodi!
I am looking forward to seeing some of today's competitors at the CCBR next week!

Oh I cannot wait until CCBR! I gotta say it's one of my most favorite band reivew, at least the trip going home was fun.
Well, you guys need to come up with cheers.. With 120-150 Band Members, whooo I'd love to hear those throats sore the next day.. lol..
that girl from Golden Valley was awesome when she soloed to the question "Hey Golden Valley, how do you feel?" yeah she rocked our socks and the rest of her band crew.. lol..

LPO easily wins the award ceremony cheering competition. Not even a contest. It's great to see 2 schools come together and show that much unity and spirit. Keep up the great work Alliance and best of luck at CCBR!

Re: Results: Grape Bowl Classic Band Review (Lodi, CA) 11/1/08
I cannot wait until CCBR! I finally get a chance to see LP/O live. Hopefully my jazz time will allow for it. I also loved the event last year. It was my first time going to CCBR in Merced/Atwater and it was great. Hopefully it'll be the same (possibly better) this time around.
Congrats to all participants at Lodi today. Special congrats to Mr. C and the Cardinal Regime for a wonderful performance and season. You guys are amazing and I wish you the best of luck at the Rose Parade. I am more than confident that you will represent Northern California well.
Good luck to all as we approach the home stretch of our 2008 NCBA fall marching season. This is my last fall season with NCBA and it is shaping up to be one of the best.

After CCBR, Golden Valley will begin preparations for the Rose Parade. Lodi was their last competition of the year, although they will be the host band at CCBR. It's only been one day and I'm already going through withdrawls.

I am in agreement with "Cardinal Regime" on this one! But GV needs to shut it down and get ready for the Rose Parade which is the biggest event they have ever been involved in! It is a tribute to the band program and Greg Christiansen's leadership and all of the band students who made the program what it has become over the years!Cardinal Regime wrote:After CCBR, Golden Valley will begin preparations for the Rose Parade. Fortunately, I also love jazz and my son is a trumpet player in the GV Jazz A group. If their performance on Saturday is any indicator they will be an extremely competitive group this year!!!

Glad to see Mr. Christiansen's band doing so well. I marched with him as director of the Marching 100 from 89-03, and it's awesome to see he's still getting his kids to sound and look great. Best of luck at the Rose Bowl
