I heard Beckman got second, while Temple City got first. I think there was no sweepstakes, and I have no evidence that this is 100% true. I just heard this from my friend from Beckman.

The Farmers Insurance Band (a.k.a. Riverside City College Marching Tigers) is just fantastic. I was across the street from where the video was shot. My daughter is the 4th symbol from that view. Fantastic to see it from that angle. I happened to be on the wrong side of the street.

The location where I was at was at the corner of Hill and Colorado right where Pasadena City College is located. Although some bands played as they passed by me, some did not; they just marched right thru (cadence), especially the Marine Band, but overall the experience of seeing this parade live is awesome. I will make every attempt to attend yearly.
