THE GRID

Post by gangemi » Thu Oct 11, 2012 11:55 am

...is live, people.

Should be easier to update, as it is now a Google Doc so I can edit from wherever and the changes will take place immediately. As opposed to opening the Excel sheet, updating, converting to pdf, and re-uploading.

The link is on the HOME PAGE of http://www.scsboa.org

I'm holding off on RANKING them at this point.

Check the time stamp on the Document title for when it was last updated. If you have submitted your application prior to that time, please let Amy Mack know. Remember, there is a slight lag in when she gets it to when I update it, so if you are not on there and know you sent your stuff in recently, and are STILL not on there at the next update, then you should be slightly concerned.

Deadline is MONDAY OCTOBER 15

Everyone stay frosty, and we'll all have a great time on this sweet journey, mmkay?

Mike - I can't find the grid link on either the SCSBOA Home page or under the field band link.

OK - now it's working (10/12/12)

I had the same problem from my bookmark, but when I changed that I was fine.

It looks like, for some reason, the www. actually makes a difference. My old bookmark was just scsboa.org which would go through, but not show the gird link. http://www.scsboa.org works though.

Also, looks like there are either lots of groups traditionally vying for champs who have decided not to, or Mike is going to have a lot of those last minute entries to deal with. Nice to see that some of the changes to the grid are from small groups getting bigger though, that's a nice change from the trend of the 1A division being huge the last few years.

Thank you for your work on the grid and on the SCSBOA site overall. It is a time consuming endeavor I'm certain and definitely not your only commitment in life :?

Read this...please

The Grid is going to go through ONE MORE membership update, and after that, it will be just scores.

You MUST have your application and all other paperwork POSTMARKED by October 15th. You have 24 hours and 15 minutes from the time I wrote this post to get your stuff postmarked and sent to the SCSBOA office.

Read the above info again. It's OK, I'll wait.

..................

..................

..................

Got it? Let's continue...

The last membership update will happen after Amy has all of the applications. Look for this to happen on Wednesday of this week (October 17th). This may change if Amy sends me stuff earlier. Again, just look at the time stamp on the title of the Grid. It shows when I last updated it.

Thanks Y'all!

Mike,
A prescription for you:
Don Cuco's in Moorpark
A couple of friends
Turn off all electronics
Enjoy
For everyone else:
Take a deep cleansing breath
Keep your sense of humor
Find some patience
Enjoy

Glendora also posted a score in 4A on the date of September 29 at the Torrance West Field competition. Can you please add that to the grid?

MODIFICATION to what was posted earlier...

I will get some BAND updates done tonight, but possibly not score updates. This will at least show you WHO is on the grid.

There will be another update when the apps postmarked today get to the office.

We are current as of today, with bands and scores. One more band update may occur if there are any entries postmarked Monday that Amy didn't get today.

I'm wondering if hart isn't going to championship this year? They aren't on the Grid yet.

What I do know is that the plan was to stop after 10 years. I was told that 3 years ago...in case anyone thinks they just decided not to come back because of their silver medal in 2011. Truth is, not everyone enjoys marching band after Thanksgiving.
