Way to go North Park!! :D :D

As a former Pico Riverian and EL RANCHO Alumni, this is great. :D Hey if anyone wants to hear a great story, go back and review the history of North Park. Where they are now is a far cry from where they started!! I cant tell you how proud we all are for you!!

Ahh... youth....

More than likely those who are well trained and advanced in music would probably give the nod to the USMC Band as the "best band" in the annual Rose Parade. They even have woodwinds which is a normal part of a "band sound."

I would also agree that the best part of marching band is the LAUSD All City Band. They are great group of kids and well represented in to Touranment Of Roses every time.

:P 8-) :D :P ;)

Because we are ALL CITY baby! I'll be returning to hopefully being the center snare again/drum captain for the drumline...try outs are soon and I cant wait. Well imagine this..330 kids coming together 11 times and performing as good as we do! now if thats not good I do not know what is? I think all the other bands are great...but our motto is to be the best band in the parade..and for 31 years in a row we have been. We start strong at the beginning and end strong at the end..not to many bands can do that. Well hope that my last year in All city is one to remember..cant wait to see the other great bands as well.

There is just something about All City that is incredible. We do not march like any other band, play like any other band, and we dont sound like any other band. I watch other bands who are quite good at the Rose Parade later in the day after it is over and laugh to myself about how other bands just walk the parade. Anyone can WALK! l  Practices start soon. I cant wait!!

Well JB, don't get too upset about me or anyone saying All City is the the best and everything...people in it just like to brag about it...its their (or our) right to. I dont mean to say there ARENT other good band..there are LOTS of good bands. We just have bragging rights.

Ok, I guess it's ok to have confidence in your own group. That's cool. But first of all, stop pushing it by saying you are the best. Seriously, the best bands don't have to tell the world they are the best. They just have to show it and know it.

Another thing, don't go bashing on other groups about marching. There's a reason why they are there. The way you just casually say they all walk...dude, that's just plain mean. Grow up, kid.

PS: Bragging rights? Please.

this is to the 2 big heads that are with All City... if your going to act the way you are in this topic then i think you dont deserve to even be going to the parade. personally, with me being in a band that will be marching in it this year, i dont fine your rude cockness very apporpiate.so if you could please just leave that opinion to yourself that would be just grand for the rest of us that are just gratful to be given such a honor! im sure you wont hear one other person for another band act the way you are at the moment!
