hey wait a second..i didnt mean to make this all turn against us..I was just having fun..I mean come on now..its a great honor for all the bands in the rose parade to be participating in it. I mean you have to be really good to do so you know. To everyone that took this the wrong way im sorry just because there are 330 of us that think or say yeah we are the best doesnt mean its true. Everyone has their opinions. I didnt say oh yeah we are the best no one can ever beat us! haha last year that odessa high school pounded us because there were like 500 of them! But if you look at other posts..there are others that think we are the best and there not even with all city. But all I can say is that you'll have to be the judge of that come jan 1 2005. On a side note I really enjoy watching other bands in the rose parade perform and I do think some other bands are better than us in a way. If the rose parade was a tournament of bands I think other bands would easily top us. All city gives us lausd students to be part of dream that other high school bands wish they can be a part of. So I have a great amount of respect towards the bands that participate in the rose parade because there are very few that can accomplish that. So again sorry for the disrespect I may have caused and do I still think we are the best? haha I guess i'll just wait to answer that on the day of the parade...

What are the dates?

Post by sheshamom » Sun Oct 10, 2004 9:16 pm

Hello all,

I would like to know what date in Dec. is the bandfest/fieldshow for the Rose Parade. I looked at the Rose parade website and all I found was that it was two days and where it was at but no dates. I assume, of course, it has to be between Dec. 30 to Jan. 2.

Also, do you purchase tickets to see this fieldshow? And if so, where do I buy tickets?

thanks,
Theresa G

Today the Rose Parade President Mr.David Davis had came and visited us the north park middle school band.first the advanced band had played for him our competition march the crosley, and america the beautiful.then the honors ensamble band which im also in had played for him a piece of music called the sound of music.then we played soliloquy with a flute soloist.then another of our flute soloist had performed by herself with no back up band a piece of music called ave maria.then the advanced band had played ice castles.which then ended our concert.from then we had given him a gift which was a painting that was from a band mom.the painting will probably be up at the rose parade mansion for a while just incase you want to see it.it is a really beautiful painting by the way.well from then he had passed out rose parade pins to us.well then we had a really good reception which ended the day.well thats all.who else has had the rose parade visit?

The members of the Tournament of Roses are the most gracious, talented, professional, and careing of any organization I have had the pleasure to meet.

Being a part of this fine organization for a year was one of the greatest experiences of my life.

Enjoy your time with this outstanding organization and
Congratulations for a position well earned...you are Awsome!!!

* North Park Middle School (Pico Rivera, California)
They were at the WHITTIER CHRISTMAS PARADE
unfortunetly I couldn't hear them play but they were pretty small
it was cute because their little brothers/sisters were standards for the flags
