A Perfect Score
has any guard ever gotten a perfect score? What is the closest one has come? do you guys think a guard should be able to get a perfect score?
i personally dont think a guard should be able to get a perfect score because there always has to be something that could have gone better if it went a different way, like pointing a toe, or doing a bigger toss and so on.

Sorry kids, but a perfect score is not about being perfect. Yes it is possible to achieve a 100 based on the criteria. Read the back of the sheets and you will see that the word “perfect” is never mentioned. Even at the highest level you can still have mistakes yet get a 10 in any caption. It’s about the WHOLE package. Not the fact that you had one drop or someone didn’t point a toe.

I think it would suck to score a 100. I mean yeah, it would be cool to be like "we got a 100" but the only place to go from there is down. And also, even if you performed a better show you would still get a 100 and not have an improved score. I think that goal to get higher and higher should always be there.

im not saying that something like a drop would ruin a show, but i just feel that there is always some way to get better. if the show could be better, i dont think it is fair to get a score that could not get better.Mariah Canary wrote:Sorry kids, but a perfect score is not about being perfect. Well I think some people do well at their shows, but the question is....is it repeatable. See every guard works their @$$ off, but all of them are good. If you’re good the judges will give you your 100 what happens after that? You go down hill from there which will make you look bad.
If you drop oh well pick it up and keep on going! DUH
Practice so you won't SUCK (please do it for me)
Boohoo I miss colorguard and I miss my kick A$$ guard. I love you all! Bellflower Guard your still my FLOWERS

wow, i was reading this in complete disbelief...i can't believe people here would say getting a perfect 100 is a bad thing...that you can only go down...can any of us even ponder what it would be like to get a perfect score? wouldnt you be ecstatic for having made history and for accomplishing such a great feat?...just wow, i guess it's just a bigger deal to me.
You can always do it...so just shut up and do it.

it is not a bad thing, it should just not be possible because, like altohack said, you cant be perfect, so you shouldnt be able to get a perfect score.
by the way, split5050, how can the highest score you've ever heard of be higher than the official score? wouldn't that mean that the number was stretched somewhat when you heard of it? it doesnt seem like such a great feat could be forgotten and not made official
