Logan is cool, I only saw it on tape tho..
but there has been years with no hip hop before, so its not like this there first time doing it, but like luckiecg said its not done, they are always adding stuff up till the vary end. Even at WGI I have always heard a Sound track change.... oh well they'll be awesome! Good luck Kyle!

Of course Logan will hold their own. They have the staff and talent that no matter what they chose to do, hip-hop or otherwise, they'll kick booty.
Personally, I thought the hip-hop phase was getting a little tired. Even when I watch 2002's "Logan TKO" show, it looks old and dated. I don't think ten or fifteen years from now it could be considered a "classic" as some of their other shows, like the Bernstein "Shoot Horses"/reverse dance marathon or "Carmina Burana" from 2000.

change is good. i've been watching them since the beginning of their reign as "wgi world champions" in 98, and yea there have been years that they didn't do some "hip hop and ya don't stop." hip hop was a HUGE change in the guard scene, and it has certainly brought on it's "logan-ish" stereotype. yet, the years that hip hop wasn't added, the guard was AMAZING! always something new...the break dancing, the tricks, the "100s" tosses...the sexy guys (gals for some of you guys). i always try to tell myself DON'T LIKE LOGANS SHOW THIS YEAR but i simply can't help it when they produce shows to that caliber. aren't you glad your from california, cause especially the norcal folks, we have the exciting part of seeing their show first, and appreciating it the most!

I love Logan's show this year, and I've loved them in the past as well.
This change just shows their versatility. It shows their skills in equipment, and especially in both performance and movement. They can go from hip-hop to lyrical, and from fun to serious; there are some guard who probably would not be able to pull that off.
But, obviously, Logan isn't having any problem!
Plus, their Open Guard is still hip-hoppin without stoppin!...
...Sorry, was that too dumb?
