Just out of curiosity... what have you guys done for hair during indoor (out door too!!) They're are so many different things that you can do.. and have done!

My hair last year was very interesting at every comp. Sometimes it was different but my favorite was:

Side part and wrapped around to the back of my neck. The rest of my hair was divided into fours and I had twisted them around into flat circles. I pulled the tail from my part up the middle to hide the square part the remaining hair made and looped it into the circles on top. Donno if it made any sense but it looked cool.

Yeah, last year for indoor, we did these really kewl twisty things with out hair... but since my hair used to be down to my butt, it took like 2 hours...

our hair always takes forever to do, n they all have to be the same because my coach is all about uniformity.

Our instructor's rule about hair depends on the uniform. If our uniforms are different, go wild with the hair! If it's standardized, then just deal with the same. Field season we all had... a bun. Plain and simple, and people still had issues.

i've had my hair in french braids (i didn't like it) and in twisty thingies and twisty thingies w/ spikes....we really like the twistys!! also cornrows...

I always rock the ponytail. Yea it's simple but hey, if you can work it, why not! My ponytail is always bouncing up and down throughout the show.

My first year we did cornrows with a messy bun, my second year we did just plain buns, and this year we have french braids and other kinds of braids in our hair.

freshman year it was in a bun then it was half up half down with little flowers and the hand made barrete things. last year it was a bun again and then it was elegant whaever u want. then this year it was a starigh bun and now its going to be two buns i think on our heads its gonna be fun.

Guys can't really do much with their hair, unless it's long. I just spike mine in all directions and use red gel to make it stand out even more. Although depending on our show this summer I might grow it out or shave it all off.

not fair!! my coach would flip if we wore a ponytail!! i love them though, they are nice and simple (and easy), but it looks as if my team wont be getting it anytime soon!!

I think that they whole knots in you hair into a bun full of knots doesn't work, at least for me. I had that done one time and 1) it takes waaay too long 2) if you have stubborn hair the knots end up coming loose 3) your head ends up hurting cuz of all the pulling and 4) nobody really notices! Why spend all that time for something that you can only see from close up? It sucks to hear that some instructors are very strict about that. If it goes with the show fine but if hair is not a big factor for your show why bother. I guess it's just personal preference because I know that some people like to do all kinds of stuff to their hair. I am not one of those girls.

I think that another reason I like the ponytail is b/c I remember 2 girls from fantasia that rocked it the year they did "Karma Sutra" (sp?). I would always look at them b/c their ponytails would grab my attention. They would fly around all over the place! I love it! Yay ponytail!
