SCV Independent World Winter Color Guard formed for 2006 Season

September 12, 2005

The Santa Clara Vanguard is proud to announce the introduction of an Independent World Winter Color Guard for the upcoming 2006 season. Under the direction of Dave Meikle, the color guard will be performing in the local California Color Guard Circuit (CCGC) as well as Winter Guard International (WGI).

"This is a very exciting time for the organization," says Meikle. "We have been planning this project for quite awhile, and to see the World Guard come to existence is an extremely positive step for us."

Auditions will be held September 24th and 25th, with a second audition weekend on October 8th and 9th. Please continue to check the SCV website for further information.

This should put the rumors to bed...SCV World, SJR Open.
