Something tells me that BD was not on their A game. Having a brother end up in the hospital and possibly marching a hole or 1st time doing the show after closing a hole could hurt you. If that was the case .25 isn't much to worry about.

It could be that, or Cavies hit the accelerator a little bit harder. Here we go into the last week of the season. Make or break, do or die. One week from today, the 2008 Champions will be crowned.

Can you believe it?

Not to sound maudlin or sentimental, but man if someone ever went down during my marching days (like what happened to Joe) my thoughts would be on that person especially with the seriousness of the medical condition. I could imagine how his family, friends and section must be coping. And this person is a "come up through the ranks" kind of member.

IMO, it's up to the staff to keep things in perspective for the corps and it's up to the kids to pull up their boot straps and, like the Nike commercial, "JUST DO IT". They need to draw on their technique, training and team work to get the job done. A speedy recovery and box 5 good wishes go out to Joe, his family, friends and his 2008 BD brothers and sisters.

Im not too suprised.

I wasnt at the show, and I think both groups are amazing, but I like cavies show this year waaayyy better than BDs. Cavies are also often late season bloomers.
