Old WoPpers, unite!

Post by The Aceman » Thu Aug 14, 2014 10:43 pm

Hello World of Pageantry,

After a long hiatus, I've finally got a little free time in my life to check in on the old forums I used to frequent. Unfortunately I see the usage of the forums has gone down quite a bit "especially in the OT area," but if any of you old school WoP members still check in now and then and remember me, this is the thread to say hi. Maybe re-invigorate some life into these forums.

With the advent of social media sites, forums such as these lost a lot of traffic, but they are making a come back, especially for niche fields of interest like the marching world. I remember this website being a great resource for talking to others interested in the marching arts and sharing those ideas with a larger community.

Anyways, hello to anyone still out there who remembers the good old days, and anyone who is new, welcome and have fun here.

Thanks

The forums get a little life during the fall season, but are pretty quiet the rest of the year. Welcome back!

The website stats show we still get the same amount of traffic we used to get, but people just aren't posting as much. So we need to push the fact that A LOT of folks still read the forum, so if you want to get information out, this is the place to do it!

That's also good news, wonder why people aren't posting like they used to. I've always enjoyed the discussion. I don't have much marching news to report these days, but do like to keep up on what others have to say.

I haven’t been here in a decade… but it feels like no time has passed at all.
