The only time I ever went to a high school dance was for an hour, freshman year, at homecoming... I was sooo bored, I left early... Never been to another one since... So can I have a virtual high five?

I'm not allowed to go. I don't have a job so my parents won't let me go.
I'm contemplating just working another couple days with my boyfriend and making some money and going without my parent's permission.
Our theme is "007.. bla bla" something about that. I had a really cute way to ask a boy, too.

Winter Formal (and all school dances for that matter) are a waste of money. Take it from someone who's graduated and knows. Save your money to take your somewhere actually enjoyable. Like a drum corps show, lol. Or an amusement park or something, but don't waste your time at school dances. I went to very few when I was in high school and don't regret it at all. If you think you will regret then you're wrong, if you miss and actually do regret it. Then your just sad and should go get a life or something.

from what I've heard, going to the prom with two people can run up to 200 dollars, without the dress. I'll be in Boston for this year's prom, and I doubt I'll go to next year's anyway. I need the money for college, and a car, and now the car insurance, which is 1800 dollars a year!!!!Goth_MV_Tenor wrote:Winter Formal (and all school dances for that matter) are a waste of money.
