Where to watch the "Countdown"

Post by Wildabeast » Wed Mar 19, 2008 12:44 pm

DCI has really increased the number theaters that will show it (at least in my neck of the woods). Check it out!

Well they certainly deluded the base here in Orange County. I wonder what the strategy is? They are showing it at "The Block" in Orange, and then about 5 minutes away at the Orange Promenade, and then about 15 mins south at the Irvine Craptrum--uh, sorry, SPECtrum. Weird. n I ask because the last time I went to the snoozefest...uh, sorry...COUNTDOWN, it was NOT well-attended at the Irvine Spectrum.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm...interesting bit of gossip I got concerning this event. An anonymous yet highly placed reliable source of drum corps information has stated that I may be "involved with this Countdown" to some extent, and that's all I could be told at this time.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...a mystery wrapped in an enigma, deep fried and lightly dusted with powdered sugar, topped with a generous portion of raspberry jam....I wonder what is going on....

I don't know...it was a very cryptic message but the person that sent it to me is very much in the know. I'm sort of halfway expecting my phone to ring. But on the other hand...

I did announce for Div II/III championships and the Kingsmen at the Rose Bowl, so perhaps there's something where my voice will be heard. Wooooo hooooooooooooooo!

And speaking of Reliable Rondo, I got a chance to say hi to him at Camp Randall Stadium back in 2007 when I went back there. He's uhhh...well, he's VERY nice, but he's getting pretty old.

SO AM I!!!!!!!!!

He's still got about 150 years to go before he's as feeble as Curt Gowdy was back in the early-90s, so I'm not worried.

I don't know yet. Shoreline isn't that far to the west of me either, although Santana Row might be a classy place to go with dinner before.
