GREAT JOB, WELL DESERVED PHANTOM REGIMENT!!!
Did it really take two former SCV Directors to take what Pat Seidling setup for them to make this happen? (just kidding)
Great Job to all who contributed to this championship!

if Phantom is to win they seriously need a miracle in the Vis and Guard Captions /Wether they get that miracle or not both captions will narrow as close to BD as possible by Finals....because those numbers will raise they'll max out there strength captions as well to WIN GE AND the Music Caption on Finals Night....The show is that powerful..... and this year it won't be a tie......Phantom will win#2 by a mere tenth

If you recall (below)there first title came out of nowhere.....I really believe it all depends on Phantoms ability to maintain the momentum they've established as well as the judging panel the week of finals....It's also Phantoms staffs ability to roll up there sleeves and get down to some good old fashioned cleaning .I wouldn't count them out of it as the one thing you hope for as a show designer/coordinator as I'm sure you'll agree, is that all corps members will buy into the concept, adopt it, and make it there own. Phantom more than any other corps in recent memory has accomplished this on a FULL CORPS scale and with a full two weeks remaining can take it to heights that are of historic proportions. That's why I make the SCV 89 'comparison and possibly you could add the Cavies Machine production of 06'.
I'd be willing to bet that although BD is being as "absurd"as possible and the Cavies are "Samurai-iting up" only Phantoms Show has the ability to reach the soul at the deepest levels of each of the members and a great deal of the audience and quite possibly, hopefully the judging community as well . Each member can relate and contribute from an emotional performance standpoint as life, love, and unfortunately sometimes war and death are part of the human existence. Tragedy and Triumph, Love , loss of love. These things alone are hard enough to go through in real life let alone try and mimic and bring to life in a 12 minute Field Show production ? Yet, you can tell however with this epic show that each member of Phantom is literally and figuratively "intoxicated" by all parts of there production. At this point, I'm certain with a veteran staff they have assembled ..those members are eating, drinking, and sleeping and probably even dreaming there rolls and responsibilities of there individual production and how it relates to the whole. The story of the 1972 Kingsmen comes to mind as they too faced some very tough odds going into Championships. They caught fire at just the right moment and everything just "clicked" that Night at Finals and likewise similar to Phantom this season the Kingsmen had been building the corps for the prior 5 seasons to get them to that point.
But with everything I just mentioned above anything could transpire from each and everyone of there members. The recaps and there poor visual scores are all that is on there minds for the next two weeks. Phantom is ready to go for it like never before as they've been building this corps since the resurgence of the corps in 2003.
Whatever happens ,one thing is for certain, Spartacus part 3 will go down in history as one of the most dramatic performances ever put on a football field.
I'll be in Bloomington all three nights. It'll be exciting to see how it all ends up.

I wanted to share with all of you Phantoms powerful performances over a three night pace for those who couln't make it out to Bloomington.
I was so fortunate to be in attendance all three nights!! Each night Phantom raised there epic production to higher levels! Finals Night is always special but this one in particular set it aside from previous years of recent memory. There was so much positive Karma in the stadium Saturday night as everyone it certainly seemed to me was waiting to see if Phantom could pull off a miracle and throw down a performance of historical proportions . Shouts could be heard ringing through the concession stand corridors throughout the entire night "I AM SPARTACUS!!" ." I AM SPARTACUS"!!!
Finals night was simply a peformance for the ages for Phantom. Powerful only begins to describe what each member brought to the field . From start to finish it was there's as they literally owned Bloomington that night/ Each minute of there show you were on the edge of your seat until all of us couldn't stand it any longer as the entire last minute the near capacity crowd leaped to there feet cheering Phantom on at an almost deafening level!!!!! You'd swear if you were a nearby neighbor that Indiana had just upset Michigan at Memorial stadium!! I've seen some pretty amazing performances in my life but Phantoms Finals performance of Spartacus is my new bench mark for the activity.... If things couldn't get anymore exciting ..it did as I moved my way down on the 50 2nd row as I was able to witness there encore performance which no words can describe as it was absolutely breathtaking beyond anything I had ever witnessed on the field before. Watching them perform with so much pride as the tears flowed from there eyes it was a moment all in attendance will never soon forget. Looking back up into the stands I wasn't even surprised to still see the place packed as everyone it seemed wether you were pulling for Phantom or not wanted to witness history and cheer Phantom and there all time epic production of Spartacus one last time into history forever.
Then they arced up and played there hearts out performing Elsa's Procession to the Cathedral
,,,,,,,,,,,, tears began flowing from my eyes.
Congratulations Phantom!

Thank you Z-pull. Sweet God, DCI REALLY dropped the ball not letting Fan Network subscribers to witness this historic occasion. Oh well, I SO WANT the dvd's. Hopefully DCI will at least let us subcribers watch the scoring announcements. ARGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DCI.ORG on the main page has a nice video tribute to PR. And you're going to be whining for a long time--DCI DVD's don't normally ship until November or December.

Here's basically what I witnessed from my vantage point during Phantoms Absolute Epic encore performance.
Ladies and Gentleman, it simply doesn't get any better than this.
