I have to admit...I am a Trek geek. Not a Trekkie, but dang close. I draw the line at dressing up and going to conventions. But on the other hand, if William Shatner told me to dress in a chicken costume and dance like an idiot in front of the Academy Awards...I WOULD IN A HEART BEAT.
That being said, I was sorely disappointed with Nemesis. It SUCKED. Why? It looked like it was all shot on a TV sound stage. It just SUCKED. And the acting....ARRRRRRRRRRGH.
This new Star Trek--I was VERY suspicious. Arms crossed. Scowling. The ONLY redeeming thing was JJ Abrams, but I thought for sure he was going to beat a dead horse with "his vision" of the franchise.
I'm here to say--and this is IMHO--that I think this new 1'30" trailer is better than 3 Star Trek movies COMBINED!!! (Star Trek V, VII, and IX...or X...or whatever Nemesis was).

nemesis and insurrection were pretty bad. First Contact however... was AWESOME!

I am watching the trailer at least once a day.
Sad and pathetic-but I can't wait for May 8. (Should have been out on Dec 25!)
Biggest anticipation: New score from Michael Giachinno(sp?)
