Is a rook-out when someone quits before aging out?

Exactly: their first year and last year are one and the same.Chaporch wrote:no, someone who ages out in their rookie year.Chapagne wrote:Is a rook-out when someone quits before aging out?
Re: DCI World Class Age-Outs
not really...
a person can march in another corps, then on their last year join another corps this becomer a "rookout"

Re: DCI World Class Age-Outs
yes, they are a "rookie" in the corps from which they age out. A first year member is a "rookie" no matter how long they performed with another corps. This is what Hostrouser and I both said.gvprod wrote:not really...

Re: DCI World Class Age-Outs
Well, it's what I meant, at least. I admit upon re-read that my post wasn't clear enough.
So, a rook-out can be:
A) a person who has never marched before, marching their age-out year.
B) a person who marched year(s) with Corp A (say, Pioneer), but then switches to Corp B (say, The Cavaliers) for their age-out year. Corp B would consider them a rook-out.
