For Vanguard brass guru Andre Feagin has been announced as the new brass caption head for The Academy.

Rumor mill on DCP declaring that the ENTIRE brass instructional staff from the Bluecoats will be heading to the Santa Clara Vanguard. SCV's website still lists Key Poulan as arranger, but no other staff. Bluecoats (rumor has it) will keep Doug Thrower as brass arranger.

J.D. Shaw takes the over the reins of brass arranging for the Santa Clara Vanguard A-corps. Key Poulan will continue to arrange for the Vanguard Cadets.

As somewhat indicated, George Wozniak steps in to take over as SCV's brass caption head.

On Madison's Facebook page, they have announced that Lee Beddis has returned as percussion caption head which will include arranging for the battery.

Bluecoats have new staff in Daniel Wiles (visual coordinator) & Dean Westman (music coordinator).

Don Hill has assumed the vacancy left by J.D. Shaw with Phantom Regiment.

Randy Blackburn has resigned his role as executive director of Teal Sound.

Glen Crosby (percussion) goes from Academy to Blue Knights.

Thom Hannum will be the percussion arranger for Carolina Crown in 2012.

The successful corps know that "you get what you pay for..." especially if the corps can afford to pay for a top rated staff.
