Interesting that Gladstone is 3A. Since on the SCSBOA Grid they are listed and scored in 2A.

We hope you can all make it out to Covina District Field tomorrow for our tournament. We have a great competitive line-up AND the Pasadena City College Lancers Marching Band performing as well.
Admission is only $5.00 and programs are only $2.00. So come on down for some great, quality entertainment.

For those who still think a small band can't compete with a big band, I'd like to point out that a 1A band took High General Effect over several 4A and 6A bands.

That's because they don't count their huge guard toward the overall numbers right? Most 1A groups have less than 10 guard. I think Charter Oak has closer to 30. But kudos to them anyway!

It would be nice to see field show bands get classified based on current or previous rankings (avg. scores) as oppose to size of bands...sort of how it gets done when classifying bands for band reviews.
Nice job Charter Oak! and to the rest of the bands that performed at this tournament.

Yes, the guard is considered in the General Effect caption.
