Imagine what South Hills could've scored WITH a Conductor!!!

Re: Championships Results/Scores
As a senior at San Marcos, I'd again like to congratulate Charter Oak and Los Angeles High School. It's been a very competitive 4 years and that has made it all the more fun! Congrats on your medals!
Re: Championships Results/Scores
FULL recaps with guard and percussion are posted on the SCSBOA calendar for all divisions except 3A and 6A. I need to find those and will post when I do.

After watching their show several times this season, I believe an on field conductor isn't necessary (for south hills of course)

Especially at championships, their feet were ridiculous! Marching at high tempos then changing to a drastically slower tempo then speeding it up.. I don't know exactly how their instructors trained them to have an amazing internal pulse but it obviously worked

Step 1. Train drumline to play in time with a met.
Step 2. "hey band, follow the drumline for tempo."
Done.

Re: Championships Results/Scores
Hey
I am one of the biggest band geeks that ever walked the face of the earth. I completely support the current 6A medalists. They earned every single point in their scores.
Is it just me, but does it seem a bit "odd" for lack of a better term, that any given school can win any type of field championships more than 5 times consecutively.
I've never seen the Blue Devils win more than twice in a row, and any world class Drum Corps win more than 3 times in a row, and I'm sure organizations like the Blue Devils are a lot more skilled than the average high school band

Re: Championships Results/Scores
The level of competition is different. If the Blue Devils were only competing against the Mandarins, Pacific Crest, and Gold, you WOULD expect them to win five times in a row.
