Damn, I wish that they did something like that for Southern California. There are a lot of people who aren't able to do Corps and i want to audition for a IW guard, but pretty worried about getting soft during the summer.

Raiders summer is the best. I love meeting all the people from ccgc and everywhere else. Plus, for some of us, it's our only chance to march with that diva Nicole girl who catches swords behind her head...

summer info

Post by chickenlipz » Sat Apr 30, 2005 6:08 am

Thinking about sending some kids over for the summer--

May 20th meeting is at what time?

Cost of program?

Classes available (high school age, median skill level)?

Any info would be appreciated. I'm sure there are others out there who wouldn't mind knowing, either.

Thanks!

Hey! it's great to hear that you're interested...here's as much info as i have as of now>

-On May 20th orientation will be at JW Fair Middle School ((if you need directions I'd be happy to give them to you)) at 7pm

-No one is sure exactly how much the program will cost this summer, it all depends on the practice facilities we get & how many classes they will be offering...but it shouldn't be much more than $100

-The number of classes for different skill levels also depends on how many practice facilities we get...but we usually have a Beginner Class-for young kids with no experience- an Intermediate Class-for high school age kids with experience in A or Open- and an Advanced Class-for diva's in open or world. there is also a DANCE COMPANY for people over 18 who are really serious about dance. (( more info about them and orientation ))

I know that is all kind of confusing...but it will be thoroughly explained at Orientation! Hope to see you there! :D

Thanks for the info.

I've had experience with the summer program before, but figured there would be some changes due to the Raider's relocation and stuff.

My kids have always enjoyed the program, and have always brought back something new to share with their peers.

Hopefully I'll have some kids who can participate!
