"i think that it's really messed up for you few people to be talking crap on here. did it ever occur to you other people might read it? i know your entitled to your own opinion but please don't say things that will bring down another guard, it's pretty immature"

Wow....I went back and looked at all the posts. I didn't see any crap talking at all. I saw some opinions and a lot or praise for a lot of groups. Nobody said anyone sucked or anything. Just a lot of surprises this year. Not really a big deal. That is a pretty harsh post.

Saw all of the visuals at Cupertino yesterday. Some really awesome stuff....especially Division I on the field....congrats to the winners and to all of the participants. A lot of people are putting in a lot of hard work.

Crap? What crap? I musta missed it...

Well, here are some daytime aux scores if anyone is interested:

Class C/D
Arroyo--n/a
Del Mar--56 (3rd)
Jefferson--68.5 (tie--1st)
Wilcox--62.5 (2nd)
Orestimba--n/a
San Benito--68.5 (tie--1st)
Santa Clara--55 (4th)

Class A/B
Fremont--71
American--57
Antioch--74 (5th)
Mission San Jose--63
Golden Valley--90.5 (1st)
Homestead--81.5 (3rd)
Mountain View--77.5 (4th)
Foothill--83.5 (2nd)

Most of the scores were fairly consistant from judge to judge. There were a couple that I would question, but other than that, everything looks about right.

Wish I could have stayed for the night show.

Armijo student? I dont think Weezie Jay would like you being immature on here.

Fairfield student? Taylor wont like it either

Rod. student? RHS wasnt talked about and I know youre new BD and your drum major are trying hard to take you guys to the top.

I see no flaming for any Fairfield school here.

i Agree you guys could consider whether or not the people read this. Im really not trying to sound rude or nothin, but i think if your gonna say somethin negative you could at least word it differnt. I mean i know ur probably all thinkin oh im sorry ur feelings are hurt or w/e but idk maybe its jus the fact that im apart of that guard your talkin about. I also feel like you cant judge that after one band review. No disrepect to armijo or nothin but i dont wanna be known as the year fairfield lost its touch and got taken by armijo. SO i am very confident that now that we fixed our issues we are going to come back stronger than ever. see ya at Santa Cruz

Golden Valley at a 90.5 this early in the season? Wow. That is a very high number.

Good luck to all the parade bands going to S.Cruz. We are headed to Del Oro... first time in 10 years that I haven't gone to S.Cruz. Feels kinda weird... but in a good way! Scream real loud on the G. Dipper for me, K?

As far as any type of bashing, wether it be bad mouthing another school, or taking things out of context that another poster might have said; these forums are ment to express your feelings and to chat! I started this thread to say good luck, and to find out how every one feels about their schools and such. So I guess what I am trying to say is, please get over it. We all have our band rivals, and what not... just try to take things with a grain of salt. Wether that grain of salt is on a margarita glass (gotta be 21 or older... sorry guys) is your porogitive. Since my students first show is this weekend, I think I could use that margarita! Any one else??
I am NOT too old for this!

again i gotta agree wit hmiltonbandman ... i too went and looked at all da posting and i don't think anyone was talkin crap. just stating thier opinionsfrom the shows that theyy saw. another question for the person who said "no offence, i don't want to be known as the colorguard that was over taken by armijo" (or something to that nature) -- are you so egotisical and cocky that you can't stand the thought of some good healthy competition? or is it not fun now that you know that there are other schools out there that might be catching up to your level? be proud of whoever wins... theres lot of good groups out there this year and its fun for me to go to da parades and watch. get over the ego and stop expecting to win ... winning comes with hard work and everyone has to work hard to get to a successful level!!!

i think that sometimes some schools are on top for so long that thats all they kno. Then they kinda stagnate till the competition steps it up..that seems to be happening and some ppl are a lil upset cuz they can't coast on reputation ne more.. they actually have to practice..i feel like fairfield is gonna step it up again..so ya'll better watch ur backs! lol good competition is "healthy"..

Can we back away from the "offending people" responses and pull the focus back to the topic at hand? I think one response is plenty enough, no sense beating a dead horse.
