Does anybody happen to have the lineups for championships these next two weekends? Much appreciated.

Haven't seen the full line ups and times posted yet, just know my group goes on at 3, awards is at 345, and they are doing full retreat for awards this year. Was told yesterday the full info would be on the website. Guess it is going up tomorrow since I haven't seen anything yet...unless I'm somehow missing it.

Well looks like it is all up online, maybe it just went up this morning, or maybe my computer kept showing me a cached version of the site.

Curious how the logistics of this full retreat thing is going to work though.

Until the year's competition (I went to 6A), I had never seen a "full retreat" for awards. I thought this was actually too bad because no one was sitting on the side where I'd usually see the students from the earlier bands. Hearing students' appreciation and excitement for other bands' performances is heartening. I think there's a lot to be learned from watching how other bands do things. I know in a way it IS all about the competition, but by keeping everyone out of the stadium until awards, it seemed to me that the focus was perform, get out, come back, see who won.

I'd gladly hear someone correct me if I'm wrong about this.

Incidentally, does anyone know why they didn't announce 3 of the captions? And why no mention of the person for whom the percussion award is named?

Sorry for the double posting. Can't recall how to delete or edit, especially on my tiny phone screen.

It's my understanding that they had to finish up before a certain time due to a city ordinance and it took too long to get the kids in their spots for the retreat.

It did take them too long to bring bands out. From my POV below the judges box they were bringing three out at a time. Eventually got it done though! Looked great when it was all said and done ~
