Thinning out of Memberlist

Post by Bandmaster » Wed Aug 09, 2006 8:42 am

I have just finished going through the entire Memberlist and have deleted all users that never activated their accounts. These accounts were not activated for various reasons, but mainly from people entering an invalid email address. If you can't receive the email confirmation you can't activate your account. Just to show you how many floks have fummbling fingers, I deleted over 500 userd from the list.

In a few weeks I will start deleting old accounts where users never posted a message to the forum. I will probably use a cut off date and delete all users that have accounts older than one year that have never posted to the forum.

Yeah there were 45 pages of people at last count... reinix I think checked....

But that list is probably a lot shorter now that the non-email people have been deleted.
