NCBA Novice WG timing?

Post by oreocookis » Thu Dec 29, 2011 4:02 pm

Does anyone know what the new novice WG minimum/maximum show timing is?
The rules on the website are still not updated from 2008. I have inquired by email but haven't received a response yet.

From a thread earlier this year...
The new timing rule for NCBA winterguards is a maximum of 5 1/2 minutes for all guard classifications. The minimum equipment time is still at 4 min for HS guards and 2 min for JH/MS guards.

My only concern is for those new schools who are out of the loop... NCBA hasn't updated their Rules and Regulations page to the recent timing rule. I worry that some schools in the area will be unaware of the change. Can someone contact NCBA?

You can do this as easily as anyone else. I don't think the board members come to this site much, if at all.

Well here is an update:

Emailed the Winter Guard person and here is what they said.

The minimum standard equipment time is 3 minutes NOT 4 minutes that is posted above. Obviously when things aren't updated ( website) or rules aren't sent out( emails would be nice) to everyone once changed we can get mixed ideas of what is different and what is the same. I really hope someone will update the website regularly.

By the way both emails sent to the head judge and to the Winter guard person have both requested updates to the site and or emails sent out to members regarding any rule changes or updates.
