Sjvcgpr evaluation show?!

Post by Divela » Wed Jan 04, 2012 8:00 pm

I was hoping someone knew anything about whether the evaluation show next Saturday the 14 was the mandatory show to qualify for sjvcgpr championships, or if it was the show on the 20th which was the mandatory one.

Also, is there a minimum time for a routine for the 1st show/evaluation? There is no way I can finish the routine by the middle of January!
Lincoln HS color guard, percussion, trombone (2005-2008)
Delta College Symphonic band (2008,2009)
Tokay HS Lodi, CA (Guard instructor 2008-2010)
Redwood HS Visalia, CA (Guard instructor 2011-present)
Orange Cove HS, CA (Guard instructor 2011-present)

::sigh:: Sometimes I wish you would just ask me these things. Though I don't have a 100% answer, I can tell you that last year the Eval show was optional and the show after that was required to participate in Championships. Furthermore the rulebook says
3. A unit must compete in two (2) SJVCGPR competitions in order to be eligible to compete in the Championship competition. One (1) SJVCGPR competition must be the first competition.
The Eval show is not a competition.

Also, I don't see Redwood on the schedule for the 14th.
