Curious Question

Post by jonmartinezz » Wed Nov 14, 2012 6:11 pm

Hi lately I've been considering switching over to cymbal line for my college year and I was wondering how hard it would be to quickly learn from being a wind player for four years. Also how would one practice with cymbals?

As long as you have good rhythmic understanding there shouldn't be an issue. You do need to be in shape. Start doing some bicep curls and tricep extensions, and stop when you finish college :)

Also, just sight read complicated rhythms. To practice playing, just clap your hands together. Here is a pretty good video, but the visuals for the full/third/right etc. crashes are weird. http://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=rela ... 52lRp_0IS4
