It's not hard once you figure it out. I taught myself & got pretty good at it. It takes a great deal of heart, dedication, desire for learning/perfecting techniques & practice hr after hr after hr. I wore a bare spot in our front yard, & after I went to college, the grass didn't grow back in that spot for five years from all the practice I did. I practiced from the time I got home from school around 4pm til dark, went inside & practiced in the house til 10pm everyday. If it rained, I just practiced inside. You have to WANT it to do it & I wanted it BADLY so I did it. I wasn't allowed to take lessons so that's why I ended up teaching myself just by watching others twirl & figuring it out on my own. There wasn't an hour of daylight that went by that I wasn't out practicing. I practiced more on the weekends of course, no school.
